Day 1 Arrival, check in and play Adare Manor
A cherished heritage of Irish hospitality has been distilled into the spirit of welcome you feel within these walls. Adare Manor was a labour of love from the very start, created to delight, astonish and impress.
Masterfully designed, magnificently maintained, and perfectly set within the glorious estate of one of Europe’s most spectacular manor house hotels, The Golf Course at Adare Manor is ready to take its place among the best championship courses in the world.
Celebrated golf architect Tom Fazio has taken what was already an award-winning course and transformed it into a parkland paradise befitting a country in the top tier of global golfing destinations. The new course has been created in harmony with the outstanding natural beauty of its surroundings: lush, softly rolling terrain, mature tree scaping, and the sweeping banks of the River Maigue. It hosts the Ryder Cup in 2026.
Day 2 Play Ballybunion Old Course
A name in golf that needs no introduction, this is a true seaside links golf course, located on the Shannon estuary. It encapsulates the surrounding landscape beautifully to make the golf course look as if there has been no man-made influence. Golfers are intimidated off the tee as they are greeted by undulating fairways lined by dunes covered in long grass. There is a huge amount of variation in the layout with golfers experiencing numerous stances and lies, which makes accurate iron play more challenging.
Day 3 Play Lahinch Golf Club
Lahinch Golf Club is renowned for the way the links has retained all of its old virtues. It has benefited from the willingness, over the decades, to move with the times and is now regarded as one of the best and most enjoyable challenges to be found anywhere in the golfing world. The legendary Old Tom Morris set the highest standards for the course from the outset. He was followed by equally celebrated architects Charles ‘Mo’ Gibson and Dr Alister MacKenzie. In more recent times, the expertise of Dr Martin Hawtree ensures its place in the higher echelons of all golf rankings.
Day 4 Transfer to Waterville House, Waterville
Day 5 Play Waterville Golf Links
The Waterville Golf Club is set on links land that is of a geographical rarity. Waterville is honoured to be included among the very best prestigious links golf courses in all golf surveys. As one of the oldest golf clubs in Ireland it has continued to develop and grow in popularity over the 100 years since its inception. This is a truly mystical golf course combining sand dunes, firm fairways and subtle putting surfaces that has had many golfing greats such as Tiger Woods and Mark O’Meara singing its praises.
Day 6 Transfer to The Trident Hotel, Kinsale
Day 7 Play Old Head Golf Links
Old Head Golf Links is built on a 220-acre diamond of land, jutting out over two miles into the Atlantic; the promontory is almost an island with numerous caves running beneath your feet as you play the golf course. Comprising of five par 5s, five par 3s and eight par 4s, the links provides a stern test to the touring pro and high handicapper alike. All eighteen holes provide stunning ocean views. This is truly an unforgettable golf course.
Day 8 Transfer to The Merrion, Dublin
Day 9 Play Royal County Down
Ranked by many as the best course in the British Isles and by some as the best in the world, Royal County Down is a classic links course that has to be played. It occupies the most majestic location, where the bay of Dundrum empties into the Irish Sea overlooked by the towering peak of Slieve Donard. The course dates back to 1889 and still fiercely protects and maintains its traditions. It is often said that ‘if a measure of a golf course is the holes you can remember afterwards, then RCD is one of the greatest of them all’.
Day 10 Check out and departure
