Day 1 Arrival Check In McLeod House Hotel
Immediately impressive chunk of 13th century Scottish Baronial set amid 240 acres with new 18 hole golf course (private membership but guests can use). Rooms are large with atmosphere and nice furnishings, many original antiques and period pictures. There is also a lodge with contemporary rooms in the old stable block.
Day 2 Play Cruden Bay – Stay McLeod House Hotel
Cruden Bay Golf Club, a traditional Scottish links golf course, was originally designed by Tom Morris and Archie Simpson in 1899. They were commissioned by the Great North of Scotland Railway Company and it was re-designed in the 1920’s by Tom Simpson.
The original clubhouse was demolished in 1952 and the present clubhouse was constructed in 1998.
Cruden Bay winds its way through towering dunes with panoramic sea views, a stunning beach, drivable par 4’s and back to back par 3’s.
It is ranked 11th in Scotland and 75th in the World.
Day 3 Play Royal Aberdeen – Stay McLeod House Hotel
Founded in 1780, Royal Aberdeen is the sixth oldest golf club in the world. Many major events have been played on the club’s Balgownie Links, which is characterised by numerous bunkers, heavy gorse and the constant weather elements.
Over the years Royal Aberdeen has hosted many championships – the first major held here was The Senior British Open in 2005 and it has subsequently hosted the 2014 Scottish Open.
The course ranks 18th in the U.K and 56th in the world.
Day 4 Play Trump Scotland – Stay McLeod House Hotel
Trump International, a world class links course designed by Martin Hawtree, opened in 2012 after a protracted and controversial planning process. The Balmedie dune system provides a stunning piece of land to host this spectacular course.
The course ranks 10th in Scotland 20th in UK and 65th in the world.
Day 5 Play Murcar Links – Stay McLeod House Hotel
Murcar Links is a Championship layout which has as good a stretch of holes as many of its more famous contemporaries. Definitely not for the faint hearted, it represents a very challenging test of golf. To play it requires every shot in the book and if the wind is up, many more besides. Co-hosted the 2018 Amateur Championship with Royal Aberdeen.
Day 6 Play Fraserburgh (Corbiehill) – Stay McLeod House Hotel
Be prepared for an invigorating game around substantial sand dunes and an experience reminiscent of how golf must have been more than a century ago. Wildly undulating fairways, sand hills, wonderful views and some truly spectacular holes makes Fraserburgh a true links adventure. You will receive a warm welcome from staff & members all providing you with the best experience before, during & after your round.

The Silver Darling is situated in the Old Customs House at the mouth of Aberdeen Harbour. The Harbour is said to be the UK’s oldest, first established by King David 1st in 1136.On the other side of the restaurant is the historic fishing village of Footdee (or Fittie to Aberdonians).Didier Dejean is still on the stoves in this exemplary seafood bistro in a perfect spot.
Open Monday- Friday 12-1345 and 1830-2130 Saturday 1830-2130. Sunday closed.
Ma’ Camerons – Aberdeen
The oldest bar in the City this labyrinthine old pub (dating back 300 years) is named after the wife of the owner who took it over in 1937. The bar offers a range of traditional Scottish Fayre and Scottish Belhaven Ales.
